B2U Spring Basketball Season Overview

The B2U Legacy League’s Spring Basketball Season is designed to provide top-tier training, competitive play, and financial flexibility for committed athletes and families.

Season Structure

U9-U13

B2U Spring Basketball – U9 to U13 Program

B2U is offering a lower-cost spring basketball program for U9–U13 athletes, designed to provide strong competition and skill development at an affordable price.

Program Highlights:

  • Tournaments: 3 included, with fundraising efforts to cover 2 additional tournaments ($600–$700 each)
  • Practices: $250 (structured skill development and team sessions) -Still lead by College Coaches, coach B, and Coach Mumba
  • Tournament Fee: $300
  • Gear: $200 (jersey, shorts, shooter shirt, socks, and backpack—players keep all gear)
  • Coaching: Led by a volunteer coach, with oversight from Coach B and Coach Mumba - Free

This program is perfect for younger athletes looking to develop their skills, gain game experience, and compete at a high level while keeping costs manageable.

Total Cost: $750

Fundraising Disclaimer:

All funds raised will be used to extend opportunities for players by covering the costs of additional tournaments, training, or other fees associated with the B2U Spring Season. Additionally, any funds will help offset costs that B2U has covered to ensure the season runs smoothly. Fundraising contributions directly support the athletes and the program, allowing us to continue providing high-quality training and competitive experiences.

U14-U16

  • First Half: March 10 – May 31 ($1500)
  • Second Half: June 9 – August 31 ($1500 for new players, installment plan for returning players)

Fee Breakdown ($1500 per half-season)

  • Tournaments: $500 (5 tournaments, Friday-Sunday; occasional games on Fridays/Mondays during long weekends)
  • Gym Rental & Practices: $350 (~24-25 practices, with potential scrimmages)
  • Training: 1 free group session per week included
  • Gear: $350 (jersey, shorts, shooter shirt, socks, backpack—players keep all gear)
  • Coaching Costs: Included in practice/tournament fees

Commitment & Participation

  • Players must dedicate 5 weekends over 3 months to B2U tournaments
  • Scrimmages may replace practices but won’t add extra costs
  • Multiple-kid Discount: Applied to gear and rental fees
  • Fundraising Team: is built into the schedule, benefiting all teams in the program

Financial Assistance & Payment Options

  • Reduced Fee Option: $750 for families in need, with the expectation of active participation in fundraising
  • No Cost Held Against Any Player: Athletes receiving financial assistance are treated equally
  • Returning Player Installment Plan: Players continuing into the second half of the season can enroll in early payments and fundraising support if confirmed by March/April
  • Fundraising Team: Join the fundraising team and receive discounts on the season.

Drop-in Fees

  • Practice Drop-in: $20 (for non-rostered players)
  • Tournament Drop-in: $100 (includes free practice if attending the tournament)

Each team will participate in five tournaments throughout the season. Below is the tentative schedule for each age group based on location, cost, and appropriate competition levels.

Additional Information & Policies

Tournament Eligibility & Age Group Rules:

  • Players must register in the appropriate age group:
    • U10 – Grade 4
    • U11 – Grade 5
    • U12 – Grade 6
    • U13 – Grade 7
    • U14 – Grade 8
    • U15 – Grade 9
    • U16 – Grade 10
  • Players born between Sept. 1 – Dec. 31 can play in their designated division or move down one age group.

Fundraising & Additional Costs

  • Fundraising efforts will be in place to help cover additional tournament costs and any fees B2U has had to absorb.
  • Any additional fundraising funds will be allocated toward team expenses.
